Posting on LinkedIn is easy. Doing it well is difficult.

The top 1% don’t just show up. They play the platform like a strategy game.

They understand that success on LinkedIn comes from habits, not luck.

Today, I’m sharing 5 LinkedIn habits that the Top 1% share on the platform.

5 LinkedIn Habits of the Top 1%:

  1. Engagement

  2. Posting schedule

  3. Repurposing

  4. Targetted writing

  5. Swipe file

1. Engagement

This is the biggest cheatcode for LinkedIn growth and it doesn’t have to be complicated.

Here’s the rhythm I follow:

  • 15 minutes before I post

  • 15 minutes after I post

  • Focus on active creators and prospects

The goal? Visibility before you hit publish. When people already see you in the comments, they’re more likely to stop scrolling when they see your content.

2. Post at the same time, on the same days

If you post sporadically, people won’t know when to look for you.

But if you post consistently i.e. same time, same days, you train your audience (and the algorithm) to expect you.

It builds habit. It builds trust.

Pick 3–5 days per week and own them. Show up like clockwork.

3. Repurpose what already works

You don’t need to reinvent the wheel.

If something worked once, it can work again in a different format, on a different day, with a different angle.

  • Reuse your top-performing hooks

  • Turn great comments into new posts

  • Pull one post into a thread, a carousel, or a newsletter

The best creators don’t have 100 ideas.
They have 5-10 great ones and repeat them effectively.

4. Write for one person, not everyone

You’re not here to impress the algorithm. You’re here to connect with real people; specifically, your ideal client.

Here’s how I think about every post:

  • One person

  • One problem

  • One solution

  • One clear CTA

Use their language, not yours, and speak to their pain, not your ego.

5. Build a swipe file

When you see a post that grabs your attention, don’t scroll past it - study it.

  • What made it work?

  • Was it the hook?

  • The structure?

  • The tone or pacing?

Create a swipe file of strong posts in your niche.
When you’re low on ideas, this becomes your writing assistant.

You’ll never start from scratch again.
