5-step framework to write your founder story
Free Webinar on Storytelling

30th May, Thursday
The strongest personal brands in the world have one thing in common.
A relatable “founder story” that draws people in.
I have analysed 100+ successful founder stories on LinkedIn, and these are 5 common elements across them all:
1) A Strong Text or Visual Hook:
Most story posts that perform well are complimented by the person’s photo.
The photo acts as a “visual hook” and further humanises the story shared.

2) There is a Challenge:
It's important that your audience can relate to your story.
And there's one thing that's relatable to anyone: Overcoming a challenge.

3) How you Overcame that Challenge:
People want to leave hopeful or inspired by your post.
Share how you overcame the obstacle to give them hope that they can too.
4) There is a Transformation:
A strong story needs to have a successful outcome.
Otherwise it is a story half-written.
Share how you got better after overcoming the challenge.
5) Share a Lesson:
Leave the audience with one strong lesson from your story.
It would be better if it is an ‘actionable’ advice.

Sharing your story humanises your brand and allows your audience to connect with you on a deeper level.
There is no personal brand without ‘personal’.
Share your personal story.
