Do you need a big following to get clients?

When I get on sales calls, people go straight into asking me “How do I grow my following?! Can you give me an action plan.”
I know growing a following on LinkedIn seems cool.
But is it truly what you need to get inbound leads?
Let me share some examples.

She had roughly 300 followers when she first joined my LinkedIn Bootcamp.
Right now, she’s at almost 1600 followers, but most importanly, a filled client pipeline.
She onboarded 5 clients in 42 days.
All because she started showing up on LinkedIn with intention, and consistency.

This is what your content needs when you want to “attract” vs. “chase.”

Here’s how to show up on LinkedIn to attract inbound leads:
Step #1: Goal setting
Be clear on your LinkedIn goals.
If you want clients, STOP chasing follower growth.
Instead, focus on becoming an authority in your field and staying on top of mind for your ideal clients.
Step #2: Optimize your LinkedIn Profile
Make it easy for your ideal clients to find and reach you.
Use the right keywords across your profile to improve its SEO.
Your headline should spark curiosity in your ideal clients.
LinkedIn Banner should’ve these 3 things:
Value statement: A sentence explaining your offer or work.
Social proof: Immediately earn trust of your profile viewer.
Call-To-Action: Let the prospect know “how to” contact you.
Featured Section should have:
Lead magnet to capture warm leads.
Call-to-Action details i.e. a way to reach you.
Step #3: Content
Follow a 3-Stage LinkedIn Content Funnel to attract the right audience and convert them into paying clients.
70% Top of Funnel (ToFu): Awareness Content
20% Middle of Funnel (MoFu): Authority Content
10% Bottom of Funnel (BoFu): Conversion Content
