It’s been a while since I spilled some LinkedIn Tea...

Here are a few of the most notable LinkedIn updates to watch out for.

Update #1: Is LinkedIn video dead?

LinkedIn recently reported that time spent watching video posts in the app has increased by 36% year-over-year, while video content generates 1.4x more engagement than other post types.

Update #2: LinkedIn introduced monetization opportunity for creators [finally].

LinkedIn takes first steps toward creator monetization with ‘BrandLink.’ They’ve partnered with a few influential creators like Steven Bartlett, Bernard Marr, and Gary Vaynerchuk to take a cut from ad revenues by allowing brands to place video ads alongside their content.

The opportunity is yet to scale on the platform, and given that it’s only on video content… now’s a good time to start working on your video creation skills.

Update #3: LinkedIn is testing a news banner.

It will show at the top of your feed and will rotate with different headlines. This test is currently available in the US, Canada, India, the UK, and Australia.
